My son first met Kam and The Compound Team at the Carnival in 2014, like most things my son had tried I thought it would be another passing phase, how wrong was I. Kam and The Team are like one big family, looking out for each other and their members, I know Kam is passionate about helping the youngsters and steering them away from gang and knife crime but he has also shown care and commitment to my son over the years whilst my son battled with mental health, on the days my son couldn't attend Kam always checked in to make sure he was ok and when my son was sectioned miles away Kam and some of the Team used to visit him and take him out for some chill time and calisthenics at the local parks, they never gave up on him and thanks to The Compound my son had a purpose and passion to keep fighting, I admire The Team for all they have achieved and strive to achieve in the future and I Thank them from the bottom of my heart for all they have done and still do for my son. Giving our children an alternative solution in today's troubled times.
